GUEST REVIEW

Snowgoose Pond B&B is a beautiful property. It's surrounded by trees (the fall colors were just starting to show) and sits on a pond with a view of the mountains. The house itself is new and the design/attention to detail is superb. I loved all of the finishes and textures. The kitchen alone was swoon-worthy. Brad & Jinks are very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with hot tea and homemade macarons. In the morning we had a delicious hot breakfast . . . you won't be disappointed with the food! Overall it was a lovely visit.

SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

Biking

You'll find there is no shortage of bike trails in the area.  Rent a bike at the bike shop in Palmer and bike to your heart's content.

Fishing

The Mat-Su Valley has many great fishing rivers--Little Susitna, Big Willow, Little Willow, Montana Creek & others. Let us know before your arrival and we would be happy to schedule a charter.

Hatcher's Pass

A hidden gem to much of Alaska, it's where the locals of the Matanuska Susitna valley go to play.  With miles to hiking trails and scenic mountain vistas, it is also home to historical Independence Mine Historical park.  And if you're here in August and a really good guest, we might just share our blueberry picking secret spots -- shhh!

Skiing

Government Peak trails are fully operational now for cross country skiing.  And there are great trails in Hatchers Pass for snowboarding & sledding as well!

Alaska State Fair

The last fling of summer for Alaska is most assuredly the Alaska State Fair! Rides, concerts, incredible food & all things Alaskan.  If you're visiting in August, it's a must see!
